READ 1 Timothy 1:17 “To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever.  Amen.”

MEDITATE on how you’ve experienced the glory of God.


REFLECT

God created the earth and heavens and us.  And when things seemed to be running away from Him, when we were rejecting Him in our sinfulness, God broke into our sinful condition with His very own Son recapturing our affections by the wonder of His love.  No one needed to sell it: it was the glory of God being revealed again to us.


Our attention gets distracted by so many things today, things that look so glorious but are so short-lived.  Rather than getting burned out by it, I’m afraid we’ve adapted to having short attention spans and seeking temporary pleasures.  We attribute glory and honor to things that do not deserve it.  Let your heart and mind, your affections and your understanding, seek something truly glorious - God Himself!
